It has been five days since Diljit Dosanjh confirmed what was sort of an open secret when he posted the trailer of his new Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 on his Instagram page. That Pakistani star Hania Aamir was very much a part of the film on which he also has a co-producer credit. As expected, it opened a can of worms.

On June 22, the Punjabi singer-actor shared the Sardaar Ji 3 trailer on Instagram along with the film’s release date and opening only in select theatres globally. In the caption, he wrote, “Sardaar Ji 3 Releasing 27th June OVERSEAS Only/ FADH LAO BHOOND DIAN LATTAN.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra attended the closing night celebration of his Broadway show, The Last Five Years, in New York City. All eyes were on the couple as they left the event late in the night. 

Priyanka wore a deep red, ruched dress for the special occasion. She accessorised her look with gold earrings and a black sling bag. 

Nick looked dapper in a double-breasted plaid suit. He styled it with a white graphic T-shirt and tinted sunglasses. Shutterbugs wasted no time capturing their picture-perfect moments.Last month, Nick Jonas shared a Mother’s Day post for Priyanka Chopra. Wondering how they celebrated? With a cosy picnic in the park. The singer shared a string of pictures on Instagram, which featured the trio enjoying some sweet family time. 

The opening frame showed Priyanka playing with Malti, followed by a picture of her holding a small slate that reads “Happy Mother’s Day” while little Malti sit on her lap. 

There is also a heartwarming shot of Malti and Nick Jonas. Do not miss Diana – their pet Chihuahua – making a cute cameo.

In his caption, Nick Jonas wrote, “Mother’s Day in the park with my (red heart emoji),” and tagged Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in 2018. The couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in 2022.

The internet can’t keep calm as Prime Video has shared the first look poster of the much-anticipated third season of Manoj Bajpayee’s The Family Man. The makers, Raj & DK in a collaboration post with Manoj Bajpayee, Priya Mani Raj, and Prime Video, unveiled the first poster and captioned it, “New Season. Coming Soon.”

Kuberaa has entered the Rs 50-crore club at the box office. The film led by Dhanush, released on June 20, 2025. On its first Monday, June 23, Kuberaa collected Rs 6.50 crore, as reported Saclink.

The report added that the total collection of Kuberaa stands at Rs 55.10 crore. Kuberaa has seen a significant drop in its earnings. On the opening day, the film made Rs 14.75 crore. The second day collection stood at Rs 16.5 crore. On day 3, Sunday, the film recorded Rs 17.35 crore. It will be interesting to see how much Kuberaa can earn on the weekdays.

Kuberaa, on Monday, saw “overall 34.56% Telugu Occupancy,” according to the report.

Kuberaa, a crime drama, has been directed by Sekhar Kammula. Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil play key roles in the film. 

Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations have jointly bankrolled the film. 

To celebrate the film’s impressive run at the box office, team Kuberaa hosted a success bash. It was attended by the cast and crew of the film. Chiranjeevi was also in attendance for the mega celebration.

Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par has maintained a steady growth on Tuesday (June 24), marking the fifth day since its release. The film managed to earn Rs 8.50 crore on Tuesday, in keeping with a perfect sync with its Monday tally, Rs 8.5 crore. The total earnings of the film now stand at Rs 75.15 crore at the domestic box office.

• As per a Sacnilk report, Sitaare Zameen Par didn’t see a fall on Tuesday despite “not availing the #BlockbusterTuesdays discounted ticket pricing”. 
• The film opened with Rs 10 crore, which was considered a decent start in the market.
• Over the weekend, the film managed to notch up its numbers and took the total around Rs 60 crore.
• Prasing its Monday performance, trade Analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on X, “#SitaareZameenPar maintains a steady grip at key urban centres on its first working day, following an excellent weekend.
• “Monday’s numbers look good when compared to Friday, but considering the sharp growth over Saturday and Sunday, a double-digit Monday was essential.
• “#SitaareZameenPar is *not* availing the #BlockbusterTuesdays discounted ticket pricing, so it will be interesting to see how it fares today [Tuesday] as well as on Wednesday and Thursday.”
• Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par has already surpassed his last release Laal Singh Chaddha’s India collection which was Rs 61.36 crore

• As per trade tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 14.75 crore on its opening day. 
• On Day 2, collections rose to Rs 16 crore, bringing the total India net collection to Rs 30.75 crore.
• The film recorded a strong 66.19% occupancy for its Telugu version and is currently performing better in Telugu than Tamil. 
• On the global front, Kuberaa grossed Rs 27.5 crore worldwide on Day 1. 
• It has also surpassed the $1.2 million mark in North America, indicating strong overseas performance. Collections are expected to increase further on Sunday.

Background

Dhanush’s previous release Raayan had collected Rs 27.04 crore in two days, a figure already surpassed by Kuberaa. 

Directed by Sekhar Kammula and backed by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, the film follows the story of Deva (Dhanush), a beggar whose life changes after an encounter with former CBI officer Deepak Tej (Nagarjuna). 

Along the way, he meets Sameera (Rashmika Mandanna), a woman stuck in Mumbai, and faces Neeraj Mitra (Jim Sarbh), a corrupt CEO.

Comedian Kunal Kamra says he recently watched Honey Trehan’s Punjab 95, a film based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra and starring Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh in the lead. The makers of the movie have been waiting to receive a certificate from the Censor Board for over 18 months, he said. According to reports, the film certification body has demanded 127 cuts in Punjab 95.

Kunal Kamra, who has often courted controversy for his anti-establishment views, said he wonders who would be upset “if this film came out the way its team and director wanted it to”. In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, the comedian said the authorities don’t want anyone to celebrate “a hero that hails from a minority community today”.

The discourse around Punjab 95 resurfaced on social media after Diljit Dosanjh and the producers of Sardaar Ji 3 landed in soup over Pakistani actor Hania Aamir’s caComedian Kunal Kamra on Tuesday shared a post in support of Punjab 95, a film directed by Honey Trehan and starring Diljit Dosanjh as the late human activist Jaswant Singh Khalra who investigated cases of mass cremations and extrajudicial killings of Sikhs in Punjab in the 1980s and 1990s. In 1995, the activist was allegedly abducted and murdered by Punjab Police.

In his post, the comic said, “I don’t think they want anyone to celebrate a hero that hails from a minority community today. I just finished watching Panjab 95, a film that refamiliarizes me with the martyrdom of Jaswant Singh Khalra… A man who was abducted, tortured and killed for his ‘crime’ of constitutionally demanding accountability from a system that had descended into depths of inhumanity

Imtiaz Ali, who had worked with Diljit Dosanjh in the Netflix original Amar Singh Chamkila, has backed the singer-actor amid the controversy over his Punjaabi film Sardaar Ji 3, featuring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali appeared as a guest on NDTV Creators Manch and shared his thoughts on the fiasco Diljit has been embroiled in.

He is a son of the soil. You can see at all his concerts, he shows up with the Indian flag. 
• “He is not a guy who fakes things. Fakeness ke saath woh kuch nahi karta hai (He doesn’t fake things). No one asked him to do it. At the end of all his concerts, he says, “Main hoon Punjab”, with the Indian flag. I don’t know the details, but casting someone isn’t the decision of the actor. I don’t know how it went, but I know that uske andar desh prem bahut zyada hai (He loves his country too much. The Sardaar Ji 3 Fiasco

Diljit Dosanjh’s Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 has released in theatres today.

On Sunday (22 June), Diljit released the trailer of the film, announcing the release date and revealing Pakistani actor Hania Aamir’s presence in the film.

Ever since the trailer dropped, Diljit has been caught in the eye of the storm. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees earlier sent a letter to Imtiaz Ali to cut his ties from the singer-actor. 
“Your involvement risks sending a deeply conflicting message, especially given your influence as a director known for socially resonant themes…

“We, therefore, strongly appeal to you to reconsider your collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh and withdraw from associating with any artist who has been officially boycotted by FWICE. Upholding the dignity of our industry and the nation must remain paramount over professional or commercial interests.”

The film body also appealed to the Government of India to blacklist Diljit Dosanjh and Sardaar Ji 3 makers from film industry, also appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure that their passports are revoked and their Indian citizenship is cancelled.

Aayush Sharma took to Instagram to update his followers on his back-to-back surgeries recently. Stating how his back pain had initially started when he was performing a stunt for his film Ruslaan, he admitted to ignoring it at first. However, things started acting up while he was filming his latest movie and he realised his backache was a little more serious. He updated everyone that he was officially on his road to recovery.

The clip posted by a media outlet on Instagram shows the Laughter Chefs 2 contestants discussing a dish.

Addressing a cook present at the reality show, Krushna Abhishek said, “Apne kaha tha iss mein Middle-Eastern taste chahiye. Woh ek special ingredient mere haath lag chuka hai. (You said that this dish will require a Middle-Eastern touch. For that, I have got my hands on a special ingredient).”

To this, Ankita Lokhande revealed that she had also brought the same component.

“Main khoj kar layi (I searched and brought it),” she shared. The ingredient in question was Borkut, an Indian jujube. 

In a playful competition, Krushna Abhishek snatched the ingredient from Ankita Lokhande and ran away. That’s when the Pavitra Rishta actress made the shocking claim. While chasing behind Krushna, she exclaimed, “Mai pregnant hoon. Bhaag nahi sakti. (I am pregnant. I cannot run).”
